Designed and manufactured in Aberdeen, UK, to withstand the harsh environments of the North Sea Oil and Gas sector, the Alba-RIG™ (Rapid Integrity Gasket), is used to validate joint integrity on flange connections through hydraulic or nitrogen testing.
Alba-RIG™ Ring Type Joint
A certified standard RTJ is drilled to a proprietary configuration optimising metal to metal fusion. A fully annealed high quality tube is prepared and laser welded to the RTJ. In-process inspection is conducted. The tube end is prepared per the application and a standard tube fitting is installed. The unit undergoes visual inspection, 100% leak and pressure testing.
Alba-RIG™ Dual Kammprofile
One of over 100 Alba-RIGs™ installed and successfully leak tested on one of a number of North Sea platforms and FPSOs during trials.
The product comprises a bespoke dual Kammprofile gasket and is manufactured to the highest standards. A fully annealed high quality tube is prepared and laser welded to the gasket. In-process inspection is conducted. The tube end is prepared per the application and a standard tube fitting is installed. The unit undergoes visual inspection, 100% leak and pressure testing.
